Moose Jaw is recognizing ‘National Kids & Vaccines Day’ by providing some fun for all kids while getting vaccinated.

COVID-19 Immunizations for children aged 5-11 are available today, January 27th from 10 am until 5 pm at the Ross School Vaccine Clinic, located at 350 Oak Street. No appointment is necessary. The Pfizer pediatric vaccine for 5 to 11-year-olds is safe and has been approved by Health Canada. Parent or caregiver consent is required for children 5 to 11 to be immunized.

Kids are asked to wear their favorite jersey to the clinic. There will be some sports swag, as well as coloring and literacy materials from Moose Jaw Literacy Network available.

A group of organizations across Canada including ScienceUpFirst, Children’s Healthcare Canada, and the Sandbox Project have joined forces to declare Thursday, January 27 as National Kids and Vaccines Day. This day will bring together industry influencers, and experts from across the health care system to help promote vaccines among children and it gives opportunities for parents and caregivers to ask questions and get advice about vaccines.
