Power has been restored after some residents in southern Saskatchewan left in the dark for nearly an hour and a half.

The outages were affecting parts of Moose Jaw, Drinkwater, Rouleau, Belle Plaine, Avonlea, Caronport, Caron, Spring Valley, Briercrest, Tuxford, the south side of Buffalo Pound Lake and the surrounding area when the power went out around 8 p.m.

At 9 p.m., SaskPower gave an update that they are still restoring power to Drinkwater, Rouleau, Belle Plaine, Avonlea, Briercrest, the south side of Buffalo Pound Lake and the surround area. Power was restored to areas of Moose Jaw, Tuxford, Caronport, Caron, Spring Valley and those surrounding areas. Another update was given at 9:21 p.m., saying that power has been restored to all of the affected areas.
