McBain believes a deal has been arranged to keep the Warriors in Moose Jaw as long as work on a multiplex continues to move forward.

An apparent deal has been struck between the City of Moose Jaw and the Western Hockey League when it comes to the future of the Warriors franchise.

Mayor Dale McBain explains a motion he plans to introduce next week at City Council. "The January 31st deadline is looming and so I introduced a Notice of Motion to say that we're prepared to meet the WHL standards by the year 2009. What that really means is that we are looking at moving forward with the multiplex and coming up with a facility that meets the WHL standards."

McBain believes the WHL is satisfied with the idea of the written commitment as long as some progress is continually made on the multiplex. Meaning the future of the Warriors in Moose Jaw is looking good.
