There was a good turnout for Murray GM’s 10th annual Ladies Car Care Night on Thursday.

There were 108 ladies that came out to the event to socialize, win prizes and learn a little bit about car care.

“We all gathered in the showroom and we split groups up and we went to four different stations throughout the dealership. They learned a little bit about cars in the oil change bay. They learned about tires and then they come into the body shop area where we had other women here from our community with a little trade show,” said body shop manager Colleen Gasper.

Gasper added that Murray GM puts on this event every year as a way to give back to the community.

“We just thought about this 10 years ago and we wanted to do something not only for our customers but just for the community as a little way of giving back. So, the first year we started it was just a thought and we didn't know if we'd have 25 women or 50 women. We ended up with 110, I think, the first year and we knew the ladies enjoyed it,” she said.

Following the presentations, everyone met back in the showroom for wine, appetizers and prizes including two trips to Las Vegas.
