1,347 new positive cases of COVID-19, 1,187 recoveries and 0 deaths have been reported as of January 17th.

37 of the new cases are from the south-central zone, Saskatoon has 452, Regina has 268, north-central has 122, central-east has 67, northeast and southeast have 51 each, central-west has 45, the northwest and southwest have 33 cases each, the far northeast has 16, the far northwest has 11, and there are 116 cases with pending residence information.

There are 167 hospitalizations, 154 residents are receiving inpatient care. Of those, 67 inpatient hospitalizations are a COVID-19-related illness, 52 are incidental, COVID infections and 35 have not yet been determined. 13 residents are in ICUs. Of those, 8 are in for COVID-19 related illnesses, 5 are for incidental, COVID-19 infections.

There are 11,642 active cases in the province and there are 2,245 cases of the omicron variant.
