The Moose Jaw Police Service was able to provide further details following a motor vehicle collision that took place on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the two-vehicle collision at around 7:32 a.m. Once they were on the scene they said the collision happened between a car and a semi-truck that was parked on the side of Highway 1 near the Main Street off-ramp. The Moose Jaw Fire Department, MJPS, and EMS all responded to the accident.

As a result of the collision, police were forced to close the eastbound lane on Highway 1 and were directing traffic through the Main Street off-ramp. 

It was noted that the driver of the vehicle left with minor injuries and was transported to the hospital and was treated. 

The police estimated that roughly $15,000 worth of damage was done due to the collision. 

The MJPS also wanted to remind motorists driving to take extra caution on area highways, as conditions begin to worsen. In addition, check the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline before heading out on the road.
