After a summer that saw $400,000 in upgrades, the updated Moose Jaw Civic Centre is ready for a brand new hockey season.

A new look for a new season.

Renovation work to the Moose Jaw Civic Centre is pretty much complete today after a summer of upgrades to the aging facility.

Parks and Recreation Director Jody Hauta tells us there was work to washrooms, change rooms, visitors dressing rooms, and coaches rooms. "Things look really good up there! We're just finishing up a few of the final deficiencies with the contractor but basically the project is complete and we're very satisfied with the way the project has turned out."

These upgrades were approved by City Council with the hopes they will keep the building operational until a decision on a multiplex can be made.

Tours for the public are being arranged and an announcement is expected soon.
