After a long grueling season, the Moose Jaw Mustangs head to Saskatoon tonight for game one of the Prairie Gold Tier 1 Lacrosse Championship.

Moose Jaw has a great lacrosse tradition and Brian Kitts of the Mustangs says his player’s look to keep that tradition going.

"I think a lot of our kids have played for a few years and they have followed in the foot steps of Barry Stewart's junior teams from the past and played with a lot of those guys and I think our guys realize they need to step up and be like those guys and win this championship and keep the record going."

Moose Jaw opens the championship tonight in Saskatoon against the Smash.

Game two is Friday at the Kinsmen Arena in Moose Jaw.
