Private/public partnership put on the back burner until vote this fall.

Talks are still underway regarding the best way to pay and build the proposed MultiPlex project for Moose Jaw.

City Council has several options to complete the 40 million-dollar project including a private/public partnership. City Manager Gary McKay outlined some options during last Monday's regular meeting. "What a private/public partnership is, is a private sector solution is put into a public sector program. It provides you with probably a cost effective way to get the best construction price and you can also expand that to operations if you wish."

Council has received a report from McKay on the possibility of a partnership, but since we will vote on the project this fall during the Municipal Election, a final decision will have to wait.
