In Mossbank on July 19th to through to the 21st will be the Old Wives Lake Festival, which is an annual event showcasing exhibits and activities for all ages. Christa Fortin, the Chair of the Event, explained a few of the events goin on at this year's festival.

"We have Show n' Shine and Face Painting, Axe throwing, Bumper Cars, Curbside Games from Regina is coming with a whole bunch of video games, we've got a large market that's got, hosting about 45 vendors, swimming, we're also hosting the 11 and under baseball tournament, and so much more."

The festival will also include Geocaching, Blacksmithing demonstrations, a Golf Tournament, Live Street Music and Dance, as well as Mossbank's Famous Historical Bus Tours.

"This is something that we do every single year, there is a local historian who know the ins and outs of all of our history, and he takes you on a guided tour from Bishopric, Ardill, the Old Wives' like Nature Area, and the bombing and gunnery school that's now home to the Mossbank Golf Club."

The event will kick off on Friday evening, and go until just after noon on Sunday, with multiple catered events. Christa Fortin encourages those interested to purchase tikcets well before the day of.

"If they wish to purchase, we have a Cowboy Brunch on the Sunday, we are asking people to purchase tickets in advance, and then there is a catered supper on the Saturday evening, which tickets are, they must be purchased in advance. There's also a pancake breakfast before Show n' Shine, which is on the Saturday morning from 9 to 11."
