Moose Jaw Pride’s 2022 Annual General Meeting is taking place on Sept. 18, where major changes to the organization are expected.

The meeting will take place at 1 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Pride offices at 345 Main St. N.

There will be a proposed motion for members to vote on to allow for the “liquidation and dissolution of the corporation.” In order for the motion to pass, it must receive approval from 75 per cent of its members.

The board will also present what is described as “an extremely significant review” of the organization's financial status.

“The Board of Directors will not have any further public statements about Moose Jaw Pride’s financial status or the proposed motion to liquidate and dissolve until after the AGM,” Chair Cole Ramsay wrote in a letter posted on Moose Jaw Pride’s Facebook page.

Only registered members are able to vote at the Annual General Meeting. Those interested can register in advance of the meeting through the Moose Jaw Pride website and e-transfer a $5 membership fee. Memberships will also be available in-person 15 minutes before the meeting.
