A massive bust in Regina may have stymied a new gang in Saskatchewan focused on eliminating their rivals.

 

The Moose Jaw Police Service Organized Crime Unit got some action this past Friday. The Regina Police Service with help from local cops, Saskatoon police and RCMP cracking down on street gangs in Regina.

The 7 month long investigation came to a head with raids on Friday at several Regina homes. In total 15 people were arrested and 47 charges were laid against. 11 men, 3 women, and a young offender were cuffed and led to prison for the weekend.

Charges range from participating in organized crime, to drug possession and trafficking charges, break and enter charges. As well the young offender is facing a charge of attempted murder connected to a September 2006 incident that sent a 21 year old man to hospital with gun shot wounds.

Police believe these individuals are the organizers of a gang called the "Native Syndicate Killers." A gang set on eliminating their rivals called the "Native Syndicate" that has recently expanded to Moose Jaw and other communities in Saskatchewan.
