With Remembrance Day a week away, the Moose Jaw Royal Canadian Legion Branch 59 has brought back their “We Will Remember Them” lawn signs for a second year.

Moose Jaw Legion Branch President, Roy LaBuick says that all the proceeds stay right here in Moose Jaw to support the veterans.

“Helping our veterans is a year-round thing, 365 days a year and seven days a week, it doesn’t end for our crew that are out helping the veterans all the time,” says LaBuick.

The lawn signs are available at the Legion Branch 59 (268 High St W) and cost $20 with the proceeds going towards helping Moose Jaw’s veterans.

LaBuick adds that he already has seen houses that have added a Remembrance Day to their lawn and wanted to remind people that they still have plenty available to purchase.

“If you would like to help a worthwhile cause please come on down to the branch and see us in the office and we can help you with getting a lawn, you can show your support for your local veterans past and present.”

Their lawn sign campaign isn’t the only fundraiser the Legion has going on leading up to Remembrance Day on Nov. 11.

“Our poppy pins centres, wristbands, and all kinds of pins are all being sold around this time to help support our veterans.”

On Saturday, the Legion held its annual Poppy Day with all the funds raised going towards supporting the local veterans and charities.
