The Moose Jaw Humane Society needs the community’s help as they are in a little bit of a pickle at the moment, as they have an excess of cats that need to find their forever home.

This has caused the Humane Society to apply an intake freeze, which means they are unable to accept more cats into foster care.

In a way to create some additional space to intake more cats, they are currently hosting an adoption event for both kittens and adult felines.

“The kittens are just the spay and neuter deposit, we’ve waived the adoption fee until the end of September,” says Executive Director of the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Dana Haukaas.

The spay and neuter deposit for kittens is only $100, according to the MJHS website.

“All of our adult cats that are all spayed or neutered and you get to see their true personality, and you know exactly what you’re taking home. Those great cats are on for $25,” adds Haukaas.

The adult cats are all up to date on their vaccinations and have been dewormed, and as Haukaas alluded to earlier they all are spayed and neutered.

Those interested in adopting a kitten or an adult cat and making them a part of your family can find more information on the MJHS website.
