Animal lovers know how much a four-legged friend can mean to a person.

This weekend Wilson Farms is hosting a grand opening that will see a financial boost to one local organization also.

Moose Jaw Families For Change (MJFFC) have been a proud partner with Wilson Farms who look to promote animal interactions with people of all abilities.

"I think its been about four or five months now, they've been providing some great services to us through on-location animal interaction group sessions and they've also partnered with us in our goat yoga fundraiser at the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre so we're happy to support them in their grand opening this Sunday," detailed Katie Statler, Community Coordinator at MJFFC.

She explained that they get to see first hand the positive benefits that can come out people who play and learn about animals, especially when the animals are brought into their building.

"It's very joyful, it's very happy and it can be therapeutic for some folks. For the folks that we support in the group homes and in the day programs at the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre, it's something that's very unique to them. It's very important for us to maintain these relationships and to give the community that experience as well with this event."

The grand opening is taking place at Wilson Farms, 10 miles West of Moose Jaw just before Caronport and Statler said they hope to see all of their supporters at the event.

"It's $5 per person or $15 for a family of four and all proceeds will be going to Wilson Farms and they've been so gracious to share those proceeds with Moose Jaw Families For Change as well."
