Effective Oct. 1, minimum wage in Saskatchewan will be increasing from $11.81 per hour to $13.

Back in May, the Government of Saskatchewan announced a plan to have minimum wage increased to $15 per hour by 2024. The plan includes increases to $14 on Oct. 1, 2023, and $15 on Oct. 1, 2024. This goes away from the indexation formula the government had been using to calculate minimum wage.

According to the provincial government, minimum wage has increased 63.5 per cent through 14 increases since 2007, when it was $7.95.
