Make it four in a row for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, after a dominant 11-5 road win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Wednesday night. 

With the win, the Express improve to 13-6 on the season and continue to be atop the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division. They have a one-game lead over the Swift Current 57s who also were winners Wednesday night over the Lethbridge Bulls.  

After a scoreless game after four innings, the bats came alive for both clubs as seven runs combined were scored in the fifth inning, with Moose Jaw taking the 4-3 lead.  

The sixth inning is where the Millers pulled away for good as they put six runs in the top half of the sixth inning.  

After a lead-off walk for Hudson Barrett, Udhay Bal was hit by a pitch, and a Robert Gurney single, before you knew it the bases were loaded for the Millers.  

Mavericks' pitcher Isaiah Bartels gives up a balk, which brings Barrett across the plate, and then Michael Speck hits a single that brought home Bal and Gurney to put the Millers up 7-3 with still no one out.  

Zach Campbell would advance to first on an error, and then Luke LeChance would score Speck on a sacrifice fly. Nate Mensik would bring Campbell home after hitting his fifth home run of the season to give the Millers a 10-4 lead after six.  

Moose Jaw would add one run in the eighth. with Medicine Hat one in the seventh and ninth innings to end the game.  

Nate Mensik led Moose Jaw at the plate going two-for-three with a home run, forcing two walks, and driving in two runs.  

California product Jeremiyah Padilla threw five innings on the mound giving up seven hits, three runs, and striking out two for his second win of the season.  

Moose Jaw will wrap up their two-game series against the Mavericks on Thursday night, with the first pitch at 7:05 at Athletic Park.   

The Millers will return home to Ross Wells Park on Friday night, for a battle for first place against the Swift Current 57s.
