The Lethbridge Bulls came charging back to take down the Moose Jaw Miller Express 11-6 on Tuesday night in Western Canadian Baseball League action.

Moose Jaw jumped out to an early 4-0 lead through three innings, thanks to a Nate Mensik single in the second inning, that brought Hudson Barrett across the plate, followed by Michael Speck after a Bulls error.

In the third inning, the Millers would tack on two more runs, as Hudson Barrett would bring Brian Reyes home and a Luke DeChance single would score Austin Gurney.

The Bulls would tie the game in the fourth inning after a couple of walks and a single would load the bases. Noah Rodriguez would hit a bases-clearing triple, to trail by one. The next batter Torrin Vaselenak would hit a single to score Rodriguez to tie the game.

Lethbridge would add five runs in the fifth inning after a Brandon Nicoll single that scored Tyler Vivier and Vaselenak hitting a grand slam to make the score 9-4 after five innings.

The Bulls would add one in the sixth and seventh inning, with Moose Jaw adding two of their own to make the final 11-6.

On the mound, Kellan Voggesser takes the loss, pitching four and third innings, allowing six hits, eight runs, and seven strikeouts.

Cam Grant and Luke DeChance led the way at the plate with both going two-for-five, with DeChance driving in two runs on the night.

The loss puts the Millers’ at 20-9 on the season and holds a five-lead over the Regina Red Sox in the East Division. 

The rubber match of the two-game series goes Wednesday night at Ross Wells Park – with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
