The winning continues for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, as they stormed back to take down the Regina Red Sox 4-3 on Tuesday night at Ross Wells Park.  

After being deadlocked at 1-1, Regina would add one run in the fifth and eighth innings to lead 3-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth.  

The Millers would have three players cross the plate in the bottom of the eighth starting with Brian Reyes leading off with a single. Next up, Cam Grant would be walked. Now with two on, Hudson Barrett hit a double bringing Reyes across the plate, cutting the lead to 3-2.  

With two outs already in the inning, Michael Speck would hit a single, bringing home the winning run as both Grant and Barrett would cross the plate, giving the Express the 4-3 lead heading into the top of the ninth inning.  

Reliever Jesse Scholtz would close the door for the Millers in the ninth inning, picking up his third save of the season.  

Livio Bundi would pick up his first win of the season, throwing one scoreless inning, allowing one hit, one run, and striking out two Red Sox players.  

Catcher, Brian Reyes led the way at the plate for the Millers going three-for-four, with a double. Hudson Barrett and Cam Grant both went two-for-four, with Barrett picking up an RBI.  

Tuesday night’s win allowed the Millers to take over the top spot in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division, as the Swift Current 57s lost to the Lethbridge Bulls 8-1 on Tuesday.  

Moose Jaw will be travelling to Medicine Hat for back-to-back games against the Mavericks on Wednesday and Thursday. They will be back at home on Friday to battle with their TransCanada rivals the Swift Current 57s.
