After a four-year hiatus, the Friends of the Forces Fellowship’s Highway to Heroes car show is returning to Moose Jaw on July 16.

In the past, the car show was held at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, but this year it is moving to the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for those wanting to enter a vehicle into the show. The entry fee for a vehicle is $10 and all vehicles of interest are welcome including motorcycles.

Doors will open for the general public at 10 a.m. and will run until 4 p.m. Gate fees are $10 for adults, $5 for children six to 12 years of age and free for preschoolers as well as current armed forces members and veterans.

The car show will not be the only entertainment during this event.

“Well, we're going to have our food vendors back again. We're going to have some face painting and some other activities for the kids,” said chair Roy LaBuick.

“We've also got a couple of musical performances from the Royal Canadian Air Force. We're going to have Jetstream and the Second Line Brass Band, which are both from the RCAF musical program.”

LaBuick added that the Second Line Brass Band will also be roaming the grounds playing music as people take in the vehicles.

Meanwhile, all of the funds raised from the event will be going towards a good cause.

“All the money will be donated to support our local veterans and any organizations that our veterans do utilize here in the community. We will be keeping the funds all strictly right here in Moose Jaw,” LaBuick said.

More information about the event can be found on the Friends of the Forces Fellowship Facebook page.
