Crystal MckenzieCrystal Mckenzie has come a long way from growing up on a farm in the Moose Jaw area. 

Now residing in Calgary, Mckenzie runs Crystal Mckenzie Styles fashion company that in recent years has been dabbling in the film fashion industry. 

Starting with photoshoots and commercials from companies such as Cadillac, Joe Fresh and Superstore, Mckenzie’s first movie as a wardrobe buyer was El Chicano starring Raul Castilla, Aimee Garcia and George Lopez. 

Her first job as a costume designer for a documentary was an IMAX film called Asteroid Hunter that looked at where asteroids come from and the threat they pose to Earth. She assisted in dressing over 300 people, rented 150 army uniforms out of Vancouver, rented 40 firefighter uniforms as well as a lot of business attire to recreate the NASA Space Center. 

One of her latest projects was a wardrobe buyer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which will be in theatres on Friday. 

She is currently working as a wardrobe buyer for The Last Of Us, an HBO series based on the video game.
