The Moose Jaw Police Service says the fatal fire that took place on the 200 block of Athabasca Street West on Feb. 23 was accidental. 

Police say the fire was not caused by human hands and no foul play is suspected. The Moose Jaw Police Service has concluded its investigation of the circumstances around the fire and the death of two occupants. 

Police and fire were called at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, for a multi-unit residence that was engulfed in flames on the corner of Athabasca Street West and Third Avenue Northwest. 

Moose Jaw police confirmed the following day that two people perished in the fire.
