It could be up to 12 months before an official report is released by the Canadian Air Force after a student pilot was inadvertently ejected from his plane at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.

It was an inadvertent ejection but an official report on exactly what happened could be a full year away.

You might remember just over two weeks ago, a student pilot was ejected from a Harvard II aircraft while it was still on the ground at 15-Wing Moose Jaw. The Flight Safety team is currently conducting their investigation. At this point, there are no indications that there was anything wrong with the aircraft. Human factors of the incident are being looked at.

Air Force Public Affairs Officer Captain Jim Hutchison says the final report can take up to a year to complete and even longer in more complex cases. "Initial indications are on this one that it won't be overly complex and they should meet their deadline of a year or so. There won't be much in the way of specifics regarding conclusions, recommendations, and findings released until likely a year after the accident."
