Becoming a valedictorian is certainly helps in getting into university, but something that helps even more is the largest Canadian Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) scholarship.

Carl Pinter is this years valedictorian at Cornerstone Christian School, and he also received a major help towards paying for university. He was selected to receive the Schulich Leader Scholarship for $80,000 to help with schooling.

Only the best and brightest STEM students in Canada receive this scholarship, and Pinter was nominated by his Vice Principal Tanya Johnson for his outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievements.

Pinter plans to attend the University of Toronto in the fall, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience.
