Moose Jaw’s city council will once again be convening in council chambers on Monday with a fairly light agenda.

In committee of the whole, councilors will decide on awarding a contract for the city’s slope monitoring program. City administration is also recommending council approve $260,000 in the 2023 capital budget for the program.

Meanwhile, city council will hear an update on the smart water meter replacement program. The installation phase of the project is expected to take place from October of this year until July of 2024.

Finally, it's expected that Coun. Heather Eby will bring forward a motion “that city administration prepare a report on the potential of adding a washroom facility and rental fee schedule for city parks.” The motion comes in light of a recent request to have fees waived in Happy Valley in order to hold summer camps.

You can watch a stream of city council’s proceedings on Monday starting at 4 p.m. on the City of Moose Jaw’s website. Discover Moose Jaw will also have full coverage afterwards from city council.
