A very important meeting between the City of Moose Jaw and the provincial government is being held Thursday in Regina.

Members of City Hall are meeting with the Department of Highways to talk about dangerous intersections in Moose Jaw along the Trans Canada.

City Engineer Ryan Johnson tells us about what's expected at the meeting. "The Mayor, myself, and one of the other engineers will be going to Regina to meet with the consultant of Saskatchewan Highways to talk about the possibility of putting a signalized intersection at the corner of 9th Avenue and Highway 1. It’s going to be very specific like the pros and cons of installing a signalized intersection there."

No matter what the results of the meeting are, Johnson does expect some sort of changes to the intersection by the end of the summer.
