Producers from across Canada, as well as industry and government representatives are  meeting in Regina this week for the Canadian Cattlemen's Association semi-annual meetings and national convention.

CCA President Brad Wilderman says a full week of activity has been lined up, "We have a lot of internal business to conduct with a number of committees that we have that operate within CCA, but on Wednesday we're going to have a one day convention.  We have some international issues with country of origin labelling and with our WTO case against Korea, so those will obviously be hot button issues."

Wilderman adds, "Our work on trying to improve the disaster insurance coverage for producers because obviously for some people that's still on the top of their mind.  Secondly there has been a lot of work done by our association on price insurance for producers and I think that will be another thing that will get a lot of discussion."

The meetings wrap up on Friday.
