So, I was going through some old keepsakes on the weekend.  I have boxes full of 'em.

It was inside an old Moose Jaw Warriors program from the 80s that I found a piece from the Leader Post about our hockey team.  That sports page from 1988 includes an ad for "Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers" in Regina.  The quarter pound hamburger was on special for just 99 cents.

When are we getting a Wendy's in Moose Jaw?  It's become an on-going joke on social media.  Every time construction starts on a new building someone starts the rumour that it's a Wendy's.  I'll bet it would do well if they built one here.

These days, locals are wondering what's going into the old Canadian Tire building on Main Street.  We've asked but we can't confirm.

I have learned what's going into the new buildings over on Thatcher Drive East, near the new Canadian Tire.

They tell me "Winner's" will make its return to Canada's Most Notorious City and, I've heard from a reliable source, Popeyes will soon be serving up their "mouth-watering crunch and juicy fried chicken bursting with Louisiana flavour".

And the question will remain, "Where's the Beef?"
