Robert John (Bob) Cardiff, 87 years, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 14, 2012 as a result of a stroke. Born and raised in Govan, SK. District; Bob served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945. His career was in municipal government serving as administrator to RM #9 at Oungre, SK (1949-1957) and RM #337 at Wadena, SK (1958 - 1974) then as Municipal Advisor, Govt. of Sask. until his retirement in 1987. Retirement years were spent in Fort QuAppelle with a move to Moose Jaw in 2003. Predeceased by his parents Stacey and Lucy May Cardiff and brothers Jim Cardiff and George Cardiff. Survived by his wife Fran, son lan, daughter Jody Walz (Dave), grandchildren Damon Crossman (Simone) and Stacey Dyck (Todd) and great-grandchildren Jarrod and Ilyssa Dyck, Teaya, Kadyn and Evynn Crossman. Extended family includes Tara Walz (Mic Lewchuk); Natasha (John) and Makena Sagi; and Mark (Sarah) and Bowen Walz. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life and love. Memorials may be sent to: The Canadian Cancer Society; Moose Jaw Health Foundation or the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation.
