Over 300,000 new signs are being shipped out this fall to help prevent the copying of old signs by less than trustworthy individuals.

Are you a Block Parent?

Well, new Block Parent signs are being issued too more than 300,000 volunteers across the country?

The new sign will prevent them from being copied according to Corporal Blair Bucsis of the Moose Jaw Police Service. "For anybody that has a Block Parents sign there's going to be a blitz. If they want to get a jump on the blitz of turning those signs in they can bring those signs down to the police service and drop them off at the Community Services Unit because I'm collecting them for them to give to the Block Parent Committee."

Block Parents are trusted individuals in a community that can provide help to neighbours when there's a problem. The misconception is that Block Parents only help children but they can also provide assistance to adults in need.
