NDP, Liberals, and Bloc team up to vote down anti-terrorism measures and send the Conservatives back to the drawing board.

He says they can't be trusted with our safety. Palliser Member of Parliament Dave Batters is fired up after a vote in the House of Commons this week.

Batters says the Liberals, the NDP, and the Bloc Quebecois ganged up and killed a motion to extend two key measures of Canada's Anti-Terrorism Act.

"Because these two measures required support from Parliament to be extended for another three years, NDP and Liberal opposition means Canadians will be less secure and law enforcement officers will have fewer tools to fight terrorism. Its difficult to believe that the Liberals and NDP would put petty, partisan politics above what is best for Canadians."

The Anti-Terrorism measures were put in place to enhance Canada's ability to prosecute terrorists and prevent them from carrying out their crimes.
