Make it three wins in a row for the Moose Jaw Major AAA All-Stars as they shut out Ontario on Monday afternoon 5-0, at the Canadian Regionals in Calgary, Atla.

The Major All-Stars pitched almost a flawless game only allowing one hit by Ontario, with their defense taking hits, and runs away in the process.

Jackson Boyle pitched two shutout innings, allowing only one hit, and striking out one, before reliever Dillon Flanagan came into the game. Flanagan threw four innings of shutout ball, shutting the door allowing no hits, and striking out five.

Moose Jaw’s offense came to play on Monday as they combined for seven hits in five innings.

It got started for Moose Jaw in the first inning taking an early 1-0 lead. The game would remain that way until the third inning when Luke Turner would silence the Ontario bench as he blasted a two-run home run to centre field to extend the lead to 3-0.

The All-Stars would add to their lead in the fifth inning, tacking on two more runs to seal the deal with a 5-0 win. The win improves their record to 3-1 in the tournament and moves them into second place.

Luke Turner went one-for-three at the plate with three RBIs. Neal Kohl and Nigel Legare picked up a hit and an RBI apiece.

The boys will look to make it four-straight wins on Tuesday as they battle with the host Calgary Rocky Mountain League at 12:00 p.m. MT, who are 2-2 in the tournament.

If they win they will represent Canada in the Little World Series in Williamsport, Penn, from August 17-28.
