246 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Saskatchewan Friday.

65 of the new cases are in Saskatoon, 50 in Regina, 34 in the north-central, 24 in the northwest, 19 in the far northwest, 14 in the southeast, 13 in the far northeast, nine in the northeast, seven in the south-central zone, six in the central-east, three in the central-west, one in the far north-central and one in the southwest.

387 recoveries were announced as well, and 4,547 cases are considered active.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 282, or 23.3 new cases per 100,000 residents.

According to the government release: "It is anticipated that the number of cases designated as “active” will decline as older cases are reviewed and potentially shifted to recovered status. This work is ongoing."

139 people are currently in hospital, with 106 receiving inpatient care, and 27 are in intensive care.
