The province once again broke a record for the number of new cases of COVID-19 in one day.

The provincial government announced 1,412 new cases on Friday, along with 347 recoveries.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (27), Far North East (18), North West (53), North Central (62), North East (36), Saskatoon (334), Central West (20), Central East (92), Regina (334), South West (44), South Central (76) and South East (168) zones and 148 new cases have pending residence information.

Of the new cases, 61 are in the South Central 2 subzone that includes Moose Jaw and the immediate surrounding area.

10,325 cases are considered active. There are 415 active cases in the South Central zone and 324 active cases in the South Central 2 subzone.

131 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. 123 are receiving inpatient care including 59 for COVID-19 illnesses, 46 admitted for other reasons and 18 still to be determined. Eight are receiving ICU care with five admitted for COVID-19 illnesses and three admitted for other reasons.
