Canadian Farmers should look forward to more trade deals in 2014 says the Federal Agriculture Minister.

Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz says he plans on more travelling and more trade agreements.

"There is actually three that are very more cornerstone work for agriculture than any. I would rate them, Japan as the First and Korea to finish it off." Said Ritz.

He adds that he is also looking forward to the first international symposium on implementing low level presence standards in trade.

These standards would prevent major disruptions when trace levels of unwanted genetically modified ingredients are found in exports.
