There are two weeks left to participate in Saskatchewan’s farmland ownership survey.

The information collected will help the Province determine who should be allowed to own farmland in Saskatchewan.

Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart is pleased with the amount of participation to date with more than 1700 surveys being received as of last Friday.

He says the more people who participate the better understanding the government will have of public opinion regarding farmland ownership.

After the consultations end, survey results and comments will be posted online and once the results have been analyzed, decisions will be made regarding next steps.

The survey can be completed online at www.Saskatchewan.ca/farmland.  Paper copies are available at Ministry of Agriculture Regional Offices
Consultations end Monday, August 10.
