Farm Labour, Grain Transportation, a Railway Review, Trade agreements and COOL are expected to be just a few of the topics being discussed at today’s Agriculture Debate in Ottawa.

The Canadian Federation of Agriculture is hosting the event which will also be simulcast on their website from 10 am to 12 noon Central Standard Time.

Taking part in the debate will be Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, NDP Agriculture Critic   Malcolm Allen, Liberal Agriculture Critic Mark Eyking (i-king) and Bruce Hyer Deputy Leader of the Green Party.

CFA President Ron Bonnett says Agriculture is often overlooked as an economic driver,  despite the numbers which show it is responsible for 1 in 8 jobs and has the largest manufacturing sector in the country.
