Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz is in Saskatchewan today.

Ritz will be on hand for the official opening of Ag in Motion – Western Canada’s Outdoor Farm Expo.

Show Manager Rob O’Conner says the site at Langham looks great and everything is ready to go .

"There could be some operating of - whether it's a backhoe or something else- am excavator, a skidsteer. We'll see some of those things happening at the show," O'Connor said. "Really the point is that the show is in motion and there's lots of opportunity to see things work."

Producers can check out crop plot research, equipment in action with the field demonstrations or a number of other exhibitors will have demonstrations right at their booth in the trade show.

"We also have demonstrations. So you can get actually get into a cab of a tractor and operate an implement, test it out and see if it's something you might want to try on your own operation," O'Connor said.

There’s also an opportunity to pull up a chair and hear from some top agricultural experts in the Agri-Trend Knowledge tent.

The Ag In Motion event runs Today through Thursday , show hours are 8:30 to 5:30 at the site near Langham.
