There’s more changes at the Canadian Grain Commission.

Ogema area farmer Lonny McKague is taking on a new role at the Canadian Grain Commission.
 
He has been selected to fill the Commissioner’s role.

McKague is a founding director of the Red Coat Road and Rail Shortline and Past President of the Canadian Limousin Association.
 
He also ran as the Liberal candidate in the federal riding of Souris-Moose Mountain in 2006.

Meantime, Doug Chorney of Manitoba, a former President of the Keystone Agricultural Producers has been appointed to fill the role of assistant chief commissioner.

The two will begin work on February 13th, and will join Canola Council of Canada President Patti Miller, who will be taking over the role of Chief Commissioner.
