After over three and a half years of bargaining, The Service Employees’ International Union West (SEIU-West) and the provincial government have finally reached a new tentative collective agreement.

Members of SEIU-West, which represents 11,500 licensed practical nurses, special care aids, and other health professionals, have been without a deal since 2017 when they refused to accept a 3.5 per cent wage cut from the Saskatchewan Government.

Few details of the new agreement are available right now and will need to be ratified by members before it is implemented.
