The perfect fall weather means you can still head outside and get some exercise, so why not help support a good cause while you're at it. Habitat for Humanity Moose Jaw isn't letting the pandemic stop their fundraising efforts and are hosting a virtual run between October 2nd and 12th.

With numerous registration options including a youth run and even a couch potato award, the fundraiser hopes to cater to everyone.

Donna Watts is organizing the run. She says because the run is virtual, anyone can participate, no matter where they live.

"It's open to anybody, anywhere. If somebody has family living elsewhere, they can create a group with them. I have my sister and mom in B.C. actually signed up for it and they're going to complete it with me."

Watts explains that all proceeds are going to Habitat's latest project at 1015 Ominica St. East.

"It is supporting our new build which is actually a duplex. So right now, we're in the process of going through our preliminary applications and then we're very excited to announce the two new families that are going to be joining the Habitat for Humanity Family. So the money does stay locally, right here in Moose Jaw."

The project's price tag is over $300,000 dollars so fundraisers like this make a huge difference. Runners are encouraged to stop by the build site and post photos of the progress.
