There are some pretty creative ways of fundraising out there, and the world's biggest semi convoy is definitely one of them.

Every year the Truck Convoy for Special Olympics brings together truckers from around the world to raise money for athlete's competing in the Special Olympics.

The convoy made a stop in Moose Jaw yesterday. Lead truck driver Glendon Lewis explains the experience.

"It's pretty cool. As a trainer, I don't really get out on the road anymore so this is a fun opportunity to get back behind the wheel and drive. And it's for a good cause."

Lewis has been participating in the convoy for eleven years now. He had the distinction of getting to drive at the front of the other drivers, an honour reserved for the trucker who raises the most money.

Last year the convoy raised over $100,000 and are hoping to top that number this year. In total, 45 trucks took part in the fundraiser in Saskatchewan.
