It's interesting to note....
People across the country lined up in the cold for hours yesterday, waiting for big box stores to open....Sales on electronics the big attraction. Oh, the sales are good. People can save hundreds of dollars on Boxing Day. I wonder if those savvy shoppers know "most" of these stores turn "Boxing Day" into "Boxing Week" and continue to offer the same prices. The last time I purchased a television I bought from a local retailer. It was more expensive but, they helped put it on my truck and then came over and set it up for me. Something to think about.....
It's interesting to note....The Moose Jaw Warriors have a number of players away at international tournaments right now. Morgan Rielly at the World Junior tournament and a handful of youngsters are at the World Under 17 Challenge. The WORLD Juniors....OK, I get it. Great tournament...but I think we have too many of these tournaments and showcases. Pro and college scouts have plenty of opportunity to see these kids play in their regular leagues.
It's interesting to note...The Warriors will host the Pats on Saturday night. It'll be the first of 4 games between the two clubs in Moose Jaw this season. Just my opinion, but I think we should play Regina more often. And, I wonder about the Western Hockey League. It covers a large geographical area and I wonder what harm it would do to split the league in two. I'd rather watch Regina and Saskatoon than Portland and Seattle, you know?
I'd also like to see more hometown kids playing for their hometown teams. The best midget player in Moose Jaw is Rhett Gardner. You know which team has him? Spokane. It just doesn't seem right.
