| Say Hello To Summer |
| Monday, 22 June 2009 | |
![]() Yes, there's rain, but we'll take it. On the weekend southern Saskatchewan said goobye to a spring season that was more like Winter: Part II. The temperature, more often than not was well below seasonal averages and we saw our fair share of wet conditions, whether it was in the form of rain, snow or frost. Environment Canada experts acknowledge what a strange spring it was. "The conditions have been much colder than normal with frost and snow and then add to that its been one of the driest periods on record", said Meteorologist Dave Phillips. Summer, which officially arrived Sunday at 5:45am started off with some much needed moisture and we'll likely see more before the week is through. That's good, because we likely won't see much in July August. Environment Canada is predicting a warmer summer than what we're used to with slightly less than normal precipitation. |
