Hometown Fair This Weekend
The Moose Jaw Hometown Fair is celebrating 125 years. You'll find crews working hard to get everything set up for a summer time tradition in Moose Jaw.
"It brings a lot of people in for the week", said Hometown Fair Charperson Wanda White. "From hotel rooms, shopping and restaurants it's a big boost for the city".
It's not all carnival games and thrilling rides either. There's a long list of entertainment scheduled to perform such as Dan "The One Man Band", Codie Prevost and the Uncoolas. There's even a hypnotist along with the regular horse shows and cattle shows.
To mark the 125th Anniversary there will also be an outdoor rodeo. That's expected to bring around 300 cowboys and cowgirls to the city. Also, new to the fair is an interactive childrens centre where kids can play agriculture themed games on laptop computers.
The Hometown Fair runs this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The whole thing kicks off with the Hometown Fair Parade Thursday night at 7:00pm.
