Multiplex Builders Update |
|
Tuesday, 12 May 2009 |

With all the ducks starting to fall
into place, the Multiplex Builders made a presentation to City
Council Monday night. The presentation included an update on what
they've done so far, what they hope to do in the future and how they
can get there.
The group explained to Moose Jaw
Councillors that they had $8.5 million in pledges to date. They are
responsible for $10 million dollars and have asked for a little help
getting that last chunk of the pie. In return, they will raise even
more than first promised.
The Builders have asked for $100,000 in
financial assistance for the fundraising campaign. The money will be
used for things like a campaign office, office
expenses and advertising.
In return for the funds, Builders
Co-chair Shelley Jones explained they would surpass $10 million.
"We're willing to commit to
raising $11.1 million. $10 million will be for the capital that we
originally agreed to fundraise for, another million will be for
naming rights that will go into operating capital and an additional
$100,000 so we can use those funds to continue our efforts and
hopefully raise even more money."
