| Rider Game Day |
|
After suffering just their third loss of the season last week, The Saskatchewan Roughriders are looking to return the favour when Paul McCallum and The B.C. Lions roll into Mosaic Stadium.
Tonight's game is more important than one might think. The season series between the two teams is tied, therefore the winner of tonight's game will have the tiebreaker should the Riders and Lions finish the season with identical records.
A win for The Lions tonight would also pull them to within two points of The Riders, making the West Division that much tighter.
Some players will consider it a must win game, while others will not. However all the players feel a win is needed as a tribute to fallen Rider Legend Ron Lancaster who lost his battle with Cancer Wednesday night.
The Riders Organization is planning a tribute to the "Little General" before tonight's game so if you are attending, The Riders are asking that you come early and be in your seats early as well.
The Riders will be wearing Lancaster's #23 on their Helmets, special markings will be placed on the turf, and the Mosaic Stadium Flags will be flying at half mast.
The Riders and Lions kickoff at 7:30 pm in front of a sold out Mosaic Stadium. |
