Local volleyball players will be given a chance to improve their skills later in the summer during the Moose Jaw Volleyball Camp. Director Rick Bell says this will be the first time it's held at Vanier Collegiate.
"It's open to everyone Grade 7 to 9 or 10 to 12, we have two different sessions going on. Anyone from the public or catholic schools or the surrounding areas are welcome to attend."
The camp is August 24th to 26th, and according to Bell they'll have a number of former University of Regina Cougars players coming out to help coach. "It'll be a great opportunity to work on skills with the approaching volleyball season right around the corner after that. It'll give players a chance to work on their skills just in time for team tryouts."
"We've got several different coaches coming to help out," said Bell. "We've got some local high school coaches from the city, plus a number of ex-Cougars coming to the camp to lend their expertise."
Bell explains the details on how to register. "They'll be forms at the schools that they can pick up from their office and submit to an address on the form. Or if they need to they can contact me at 693-3056 and I can give them the details". It's $75 per player, and again, the Moose Jaw Volleyball Camp is August 24th to 26th at Vanier Collegiate.
