Hot, humid conditions were enough to fuel severe storms in southern and west-central Saskatchewan Thursday. Heavy rain and hail were the biggest threats around Moose Jaw.

"There's potential for marble-sized hail and heavy rainfall," said Environment Canada Meteorologist Blair Morrow as he watched storms track eastward toward Moose Jaw.

Storms didn't strike the city, but Environment Canada issued warnings for surrounding RMs. We have yet to receive reports of any severe weather or damage.

At 10:00pm the weather office downgraded its warning to a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. That means severe weather is no longer imminent, but is still possible.
