A military panel found Robert Semrau guilty of disgraceful conduct. September 9th, the Canadian Forces Captain, who shot a wounded enemy fighter, will be sentenced.

Prosecutors believe he should be dismissed in disgrace and spend two years less a day in jail,  but Semrau's lawyer says a reduction in rank and a severe reprimand is more fitting.

The 36-year-old Captain, who was found not guilty of second-degree murder, went to school in Saskatchewan. He spent time at Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw before attending the U of S.
